Additional filtration can be added after the pump to remove solids and improve the quality of water. Typically, adequate pre-tank filtration and tank protection is sufficient for non-potable purposes such as irrigation and toilets.
For additional filtration the filters must be regularly maintained and the water quality regularly checked.
